We offer a secure and convenient range of payment options to facilitate a smooth purchasing experience for your camping equipment and outdoor gear. The following outlines the accepted payment methods, the dynamic checkout flow, security protocols, and error handling procedures we employ.
1. Accepted Wallet Payment Methods
We currently accept the following wallet-based payment methods for your outdoor gear acquisitions:
- iDEAL
- Bancontact
- BLIK
These methods are designed to provide flexibility, security, and reliability. Payment method availability is strictly destination-dependent and order-dependent. At checkout, our system only displays the wallet payment methods that are supported for your specific shipping country, order currency, and order configuration.
We do not ask you to enter credit or debit card details on our Site for these wallet payment methods. Where a payment provider’s own application involves a linked funding source, that process is handled entirely within the provider’s secure environment.
2. The Expedition Checkout Flow (Post-Order Dynamic Routing)
To ensure the highest level of payment security and compliance, our checkout operates on a Post-Order Dynamic Routing model. The flow operates as follows:
- Cart & Information: You add items to your cart, proceed to checkout, and fill in your required billing and shipping information.
- Place Order: You click “Place Order”.
- Dynamic Wallet Loading: Only after clicking “Place Order” will our system evaluate your destination country, order currency, and order value, and dynamically load the specific wallet payment options available for your region. You will not see the final wallet list during the initial information-filling stage.
- Selection & Hand-off: You select your preferred available wallet (e.g., iDEAL, Bancontact, or BLIK) from the options displayed.
- Authorization: You are redirected to, or prompted through, the payment provider’s secure interface to authorize the transaction using your banking application, account credentials, a one-time code, or biometric verification.
Note: Clicking “Place Order” generates an order record with a pending or incomplete payment status. An order is not complete, nor accepted for processing or dispatch, until the wallet payment has been successfully authorized and verified.
3. Handling Payment Rejections
Should your payment be declined or fail to complete during the authorization stage, the order will not enter processing. For security and order-integrity reasons, we cannot reinstate a declined or failed order; you will need to initiate a new order through the website.
If your payment fails, please perform the following verification checks:
- Account & Provider Check: Confirm that your payment account or linked funding source is active, has sufficient available funds, and has not exceeded any applicable transaction or daily limits.
- Authentication Completeness: If your bank or payment provider requests an additional verification step (e.g., a code), complete it within the required timeframe. An expired or abandoned authentication session may cause the payment to fail.
- Provider Communication: If the issue persists, contact your bank or payment provider directly. They can clarify the specific reason for the decline—such as insufficient funds, fraud prevention holds, transaction limits, or account restrictions.
- Alternative Methods: If difficulties continue, you may attempt to use another wallet method displayed on the payment screen for your destination and order.
4. Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and Error Handling
Where a transaction requires Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) or equivalent verification, you may be asked by your bank or payment provider to complete an additional step, such as entering a password, a one-time SMS code, or using biometric verification (e.g., fingerprint or facial recognition).
Any rejection at this stage is controlled by your issuing bank or payment provider and should be addressed with them directly. We cannot override a provider’s authentication or decline decision.
If you encounter error messages during authentication or payment authorization, please report them to us with relevant details—including the error text, time of occurrence, the payment method used, the destination country, and the steps taken—so that we may assist in diagnosing the issue promptly with the payment service provider.
5. Security and Privacy
All payment data is transmitted via encrypted channels and processed through secure, licensed payment service providers. Our payment providers maintain PCI DSS compliance where applicable and handle payment data in accordance with their own security and privacy obligations.
We implement strict fraud prevention measures to safeguard against unauthorized transactions. We do not request, store, or process your online banking password, wallet login credentials, full payment account number, CVV, or one-time authentication codes. Our customer service team does not need these details to assist with a payment inquiry. For further details on authentication procedures, please consult your bank or payment provider.
6. Order Confirmation
Upon successful payment authorization and verification, you will receive an order confirmation email containing your order number, a summary of the items purchased, and shipping details. This email confirms that your order has been received and accepted for processing; it is not a dispatch confirmation. If you do not receive this email within a reasonable timeframe, please check your spam or junk folder before contacting our support team.
